Day 01 Kuala
Lumpur/ Katunayaka / Negombo (Dinner)
Upon arrival at Katunayaka,
transfer to Negombo.
Day 02
Negombo / Sigiriya (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Proceed to Sigiriya. On the
way, visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, the home for
about 60 elephants, out of which many are baby elephants
found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being
cared for, fed and trained by the wild life authorities.
Next is
the World Heritage, Lion Rock. It was known as 'Fortress
In The Sky' in the 5th century, because of its triple moat
defense, it rises to almost a sheer height of 500 feet. On
its summit are the foundations of what was once a great
palace and garden complete with a swimming pool.
Day
03 Sigiriya /
Kandy (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Transfer to Kandy for the city tour which includes the
Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts and Crafts Centre
and the Gem Museum. This is followed by a visit to the
Royal Botanical Garden, the largest botanic garden in Sri
Lanka with 147 acres in extent. More than 5,000 species of
trees, plants and flora from the tropical world could be
found here.
We
proceed to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. This
temple has been around since 4th Century A.D when Buddha's
tooth was brought to Sri Lanka, hidden from sacrilegious
hands in an Orissan princess's hair. The Relic has grown
in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the
world.
Enjoy the
evening with a Cultural Show Dance.
Day 04
Kandy / Colombo (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Proceed to Colombo, the capital and commercial heart
of Sri Lanka. During the city tour, we get to view
the Cinnamon Garden, The Fort, Sea Street, Pettah Bazaar
area, Dutch Church and BMICH - Avukana Buddha and
Independence Square.
Cinnamon
Garden is Colombo's most fashionable neighbourhood
with elegant mansions, tree lined streets and the
city's largest park. The Fort was the former British
administrative centre and military garrison, and Sea
Street is the goldsmith's quarters in the heart of Pettah.
The Dutch Church has a rich history that dates back to
1749. At the Pettah Bazaar area, look out for the Hindu
temple with elaborate stone carvings.
After the city tour, its shopping time in Colombo. Visit
Miesna Tea boutique, cashew nut shop, garments shop, Lanka
Ceramics Centre, Lipton Palace and the shopping arcade at
Kollupitya.
After
dinner, it is free at your own leisure. You may make your
own arrangement to visit the casino or enjoy some
nightlife.
Day 05
Kuala Lumpur
Transfer to the airport for return flight.
