Day 01 Kuala Lumpur / St Petersburg
Assemble at the check-in counter at Kuala Lumpur
International Airport. Depart on your pleasant flight to
St Petersburg via Tashkent. Upon arrival at Pulkovo
International Airport, transfer to hotel for check-in.
Day 02 St Petersburg / Peter and Paul Fortress
(Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
St Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia and
has been dubbed as the ‘Venice of the North’ for its
palace lines water ways. It is a city rich in culture,
heritage, great architectural works and series of
palaces and fountains. After breakfast, we begin with
the city tour of St Petersburg which features the
spacious and picturesque Decembrist Square and the
beautiful Neva River. Next, we visit the elegant and
famous shopping street and canals of Nevsky Prospect.
After lunch, we head on to visit the famous historical
and revolutionary monuments of Peter and Paul Fortress,
founded by Peter the Great in 1703. In the middle of the
fortress stands the impressive Peter and Paul Cathedral,
the burial place of all the Russian Emperors and
Empresses from Peter the Great to Alexander III.
Day 03 St Petersburg / Winter Palace and The
Hermitage (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
After breakfast, we proceed to visit Hermitage
Museum, one of the oldest and largest museums, which
occupies six magnificent buildings situated along the
embankment of the River Neva. The leading role in this
unique architectural ensemble is played by the Winter
Palace which is the residence of the Russian Tsars. The
Hermitage collections of works of art (over 3,000,000
items) present the development of the world culture and
art from the Stone Age to the 20th century. After lunch
we continue to visit St Isaac’s Cathedral, one of the
finest cathedrals built in Europe in the 19th century
and a dominant figure in St. Petersburg skyline.
Day 04 St Petersburg / Petrodvorets / Moscow by
Overnight Train (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
A day excursion tour to Petrodvorets (Peterhof), one
of the major palace complexes in the suburbs of St
Petersburg and founded by Peter the Great in the suburbs
of the "new capital" of Russia in the early 18th
century. Upon arrival, visit the Grand Palace that
symbolises the grandeur of Russia. Many celebrated
architects, sculptors, artists as well as thousands of
talented craftsmen contributed to the creation of this
magnificent monument of Russian culture. The stately
parks which are open from May to September features
innumerable fountains, beautiful cascades and marble
statues of gods and heroes. After dinner, transfer to
train station for overnight train to Moscow.
Day 05 Arrive Moscow - Visit to Moscow’s Metro,
Sergiev Posad and Circus Show (Breakfast / Lunch /
Dinner)
Arrive into Moscow in the morning, meet and transfer to
a local restaurant for breakfast. Then proceed for
excursion tour to Sergiev Posad, the monastery that
houses the Russian Patriarch's temporary residence. In
the monastery you will visit St.Trinity Cathedral where
the shrine with St. Sergey's relics is stored, and the
Assumption Cathedral that repeats its form after the
Assumption Cathedral in the Kremlin. The most beautiful
part of the monastery is represented by two similar
constructions, one of which is the Ecclesiastical
Academy and Seminary and the other the Refectory with
the Church of St.Sergiy. Return to Moscow and experience
the Moscow Metro, one of the most beautiful subways in
the world. Later in the evening, enjoy the world famous
Moscow Circus performance.
Day 06 Moscow City Tour (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Moscow city sightseeing tour features the Red
Square, one of the oldest squares situated in the very
heart of Moscow. See the St Basil’s Cathedral, built in
the 16th century, famous for its mass of brightly
painted onion domes and turrets. Then visit Lenin’s
Mausoleum, the resting place of the embalmed body of the
founder of Soviet Communism some 76 years after his
death, housed in a futuristic granite cube building
designed by Shchusev that stands on Red Square next to
the Kremlin walls. Next, we enter the beautiful ancient
Kremlin to experience the fascinating history of the
architectural development of Moscow's seat of political
and spiritual power and the famous leaders who have
resided and ruled from there. Visit the three beautiful
Cathedrals of Assumption, Annunciation and the
Deposition of the Robe. Next is the Armory Museum, the
oldest museum in Russia and home to a staggering
collection of priceless Imperial artifacts and royal
treasures dating as far back as the 14th century and
encompassing everything from the crown jewels to a
magnificent collection of Imperial carriages. Continue
to the Gum Department Store, an elegant turn of the
century shopping mall combining elements of Russian
medieval ecclesiastical architecture and an elegant
steel framework and glass roof, and today filled with
elegant boutiques and designer stores aimed at Moscow's
nouveau rich community. Finally visit to Arbat Street
which is the first pedestrian street in Moscow and you
will find shops selling antiques, jewelry, souvenirs,
folk arts and many interesting sights.
Day 07 Moscow / Kuala Lumpur (Buffet Breakfast)
We bid farewell to Russia, transfer to airport for
your homeward bound flight home via Tashkent.
Day 08 : Kuala Lumpur
Back home with sweet memories of holiday.
